Basically, heat breaks down into 3 components:
3% comes from UV Radiation (100nm – 380nm)
44% comes from Visible Light (400nm – 780nm)
53% comes from (IR) Infrared (780nm – 2500nm)
- All window films block around 99% of UV’s, even dyed only materials. Ceramics are actually metered at 99.9%.
- The “Visible Light” heat is dependent on the darkness of the film. Less light, less heat. 5%(limo tint) would essentially block out the most “Visible Light” heat.
- 53% of the sun’s heat is in the form of Infrared heat. Ceramic films block up to 93% of Infrared providing the best possible heat rejection available.
